Back to University

Well I start back at Strathclyde tomorrow, well kind of; I have a first day meeting at 10.30am! Yes, 10.30am.

I have changed courses from BSc Hons Software Engineering to BSc Science Studies (Computer Science), as well as being only 3 years, as opposed to the original 5 of Software Engineering, meaning assuming all goes well, I will be able to graduate next summer! It also seems to be far better, it allows me to pick classes I want to do, rather than having to do ones specified by the department.

I haven’t totally abandoned Software Engineering; I am doing 4 of the 3rd year computing science classes, and 5 classes from random departments in the university.

My curriculum for the next year looks like this (unless I change it again);

  • How things work
  • Databases
  • Human Computer Interaction
  • Introduction to Business Management
  • Economics 1
  • Communications
  • Graphics
  • Introduction to forensic science
  • Entrepreneurship: Starting an Internet based business

As well as this, I am also taking part in the University Newspaper ‘The Strathclyde Telegraph’ as online editor, which has me in charge of the website at http://www.s-t.org.uk.

So, its off to work for me now, ta ta.
