Last of the short courses

Yesterday was the final day of our initial short courses, and was taken up by Basic First Aid. This is a requirement for all crew members working at sea, and generally covers CPR, Bandages and the Recovery Position, as well as how to deal with burns. We were also informed that while at sea, if you require CPR there is only a 2% chance you will survive!

First Aid lasted all day and finished around 5pm, after dinner all the Viking people and some others went into Southampton. We went around a few bars, then basically came home – but there are lots of embarrassing pictures.

This morning I went into Southampton for something to do, the Oceana and Legend of the Seas were both in port, and are sailing past my window as I type this.
