Ok, so here’s a quick update on things so far, since I last posted in May, or was it April, I forget, anyway..

I am still working away at Homebase, my planned leaving date is the 2nd of September, and I’ll get round to telling them that around the end of July once I’ve signed my contract and everything. Numerous other people have already jumped ship, so farewell and good luck to Grant, Chris, Lara, Nikki and any others who I’ve missed.

On the cruise line front, I have been for my eye examination, and passed (hardly surprising since she says my eyesight is perfect, and I’m not colour blind!). So only the medical examination left to pass and that should be me ready to sign my contract. I don’t have a date for the exam yet, still waiting on it being arranged but I figure it should be soon. Hopefully anyway since I’ve only got around 9 weeks left before I start.
