Home at last

We’ll I’ve been home for just over 2 weeks. I had a lovely last day spent doing not a lot onboard the ship, with a couple of trips into Palma shopping before the agent picked me up just before sailing to take me to the airport. My flight wasn’t until 0240 on the Sunday morning so I had a bit of a wait, Palma airport is actually quite nice, then I flew home via London Gatwick landing in Edinburgh on time at 0800.

British Airways left one of my cases behind in Palma but they delivered it to my house on Monday afternoon so no problems there.

Since being back I have done very little. I travelled down to Southampton last week with sister to put some stuff into the flat I have at Mercury Point, since the college aren’t able to accommodate us on campus this phase! If anyone else is at Mercury Point do say hi!

College phase 3 starts on the 1st of October but I have yet to receive any information about it other than the start date, I guess that will come a week or two before.

My first trip at sea has been good and I completed quite a bit of my MNTB TRB although my Operations & Navigations workbook could maybe be fuller.

All the reports for college are done, except the end of phase report which I will get round to writing sometime before October.

I’m also, to get rid of boredom thinking of doing flying lessons, just trying to arrange a trial lesson at the moment.
